Erm....whatever makes yr clock tick I guess :-).

If it makes it cheaper to manufacture, and thus to purchase, I'm all for it. These flip-chips? basically just mount like BGAs at a higher mechanical precision, after all... (Actually, these probably are just considered BGAs...)
Wonder if that cover is for show and shipping protection, or if it actually has to serve as a heatspreader. Probably still cheaper to use generic covers than to pay for the plastic/epoxy per each chip...

Those are cool looking !!! I am not familiar with the performance of that brand though... But they are the coolest looking RAM sticks(&Chips) I ever saw! 8-)

And now use some online translator to find what "geil" means in german.
Seems's like bloodlines call for chip-love will be answered :-P
-
:-) Well...not only in Germany
but in the Netherlands to means
"Geil" well here it comes...
It means "HORNEY" ahum...
You gys ask for it :-) :-)

HAHAHAHA, ok I should include some more info:
The cahips are called:
GeIL Ultra PC3500 Golden Dragons
and you can get them here:
GeIL USA (http://www.geilusa.com/)
They are very good overclockers, and are about $50 cheaper than the nearest name brand!!!

They look pretty damn cool actually, but whats the point if they are going to be shut away in your tower? :-?
-
their like the hidden red panties on a beautiful women, you dont know that they are there until you strip her down ! :-D .
easy tiger ! :-D
-
It is nice but made in taiwan. :-)

@bloodline
they're great overclockers in intel based boards... however it's hit or miss with the amd specifically the nforce2 based boards. I've had good luck with them so far. Tho my next setup I'll stick with corsair they can reach the higher speeds with a more aggressive timing. :-D
-
Already got 'em :-D Check out newegg.com. They usually have specials on them.
The only thing I've heard bad about them is instability with MSI Nforce2 mainboards (I have a Shuttle Nforce2, and they run great).
