Certainly seems like his MO.

You know, he has passion and drive within the Amiga market. (http://www.retrogeekcomputers.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=528)

That eBay auction sure smells like old Doomy alright!
The guy pretending to be Bill McEwen on Doomy's forum is hilarious and it is even funnier that Doomy believes he is real, or perhaps the pretend Bill is actually Doomy writing to himself.

Paypal takes 1 to 2 weeks to process?

yeah, the time doomy needs to withdraw money from paypal so that you have no chance of charge back.
-
I Love that forum lol. Especially when the so called Mr.Bill talks about Amigas outstanding customer service.. Don't U need happy customers to be able to say that, or actually since they really dont sell anything related to Amiga anyways don't u need customers. That forum actually brought a smile to my face :)
-
I wonder how Mr. Bill appreciates being lampooned like that.

When the seller says "Amiga x000 COMPUTER" it's Doomy.
-
Doomy???? (http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=34542)
Yep! It's still him ;-)

Of all the Amiga fora, Retrogeeks forum, his standing in the community and his customer focus most closely matches ours at Amiga Inc.

Deceptive seller, whoever it is. "The PPC version sells for over $1000, especially now everyone wants one to run OS4".
He (or she) forgets to mention that this won't let you run OS4.
The reason he wants the money out is that he (or she ;) ) has deliberately written a misleading description and will find themself on the end of a "item not as described" chargeback. Paypal can't protect against that and indeed say so many times.
Whatever the seller is an ass.

Like Doomy?
BTW: I put a question to him/his. "the board allow me to run OS4?"
If he/she/it respond me "yes" I can command a "fraud" to Epay!
Eheheheh, somtimes I can go evil! :devildance:
Specially on my birthday... :-D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY rkauer
Looks like there is only one thing to get you...
:pint: :pint: :pint: :pint: :pint: :pint: :pint:

@rkauer,
I'm pretty sure that Doomy reads these forums regularly so hes probably going to know the question is from you now!
Or am I giving him to much credit here?
-
Happy birthday RKauer :D
To be honest, I'm tempted to report it as fraudulent and misleading anyhow.
-
"Money orders, other than Postal money orders, will require 6 to 8 weeks to process. This is because I have to wait until you can nolonger issue a stop-payment on the money order."
So, after you cash the money order as soon as you get it, they have up to 6-8 weeks to come and pry the money out of your fingers? lol what a maroon!
-
First, thanks to all you ppl for the greetings. Yesterday I had a party @ home. Wish some amigans are here.
Gosh! A full box of beer (24 x 600ml). Hick!
Strangely, my question was deleted from the auction...
-
The part Doomy fails to realise is that, if your Payment is linked to a credit card like Visa, you can instruct the credit card company to recover the cash, as with most cards you have purchase protection.
8 weeks means diddly squat to a credit card clawback, if you want the money recovered.
He's just trying to be clever by hoping to avoiding credit card clawbacks.
WTF

THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION WILL BE
READ THE ENTIRE AUCTION INSTEAD OF BOTHERING ME IF YOU WOULD TAKE THE TIME TO ACTUALLY READ THE AUCTION AND UNDERSTAND YOU WILL SEE THAT I CLEARLY STATE THAT THE PPC VERSION OF THIS BORED WILL RUN THE CHAMPION OS 4!!!!!!!

I feel bad for the people that don't know him and get ripped off by him but in Today's Amiga world with little news to talk about DOOMY is always a HOOT

Who gives a f***? Ever heard the saying "you reap what you sow"?
Back to the topic, I love this buyer question:
Q: Why has the price changed when no one has bid on the product? It was listed at 299 now it is 324 and no bid history?
A: Because over 15 people are watching this auction. If you hurry up and place a bid, I will not be able to raise the price again.
Would be funnier had he not dropped it back to $299.95
BTW, a belated Happy Birthday to rkauer :pint: :-)
-
He has 50% feedback! Weeeee!
He'll probably say that 50% feedback is "good".

From the link:
NOTE: I DO NOT SHIP OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA! SO DO NOT EVEN ASK.
Tempting.... :ponder:
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY rkauer !!! ( :-D sorry I'm Late)
Wow didn't take Doomy long to go back to his old ways..
Seriously how can anyone with any sense/EBay Xp deal with this guy, all you have to do is read what he says/reponse to questions and you automaticaly don't want to deal with him....
Oh well.
Shame he and Bill are still breathing... (maybe too much and prob get edited, but i just don't like these guys).
-
Yeah it must be Doomy. His first feedback as a new seller this month is a NEGATIVE!!! HA HA HA!!!
What a disappointment. Rude, uncooperative new ebay member, potential fraud.
I guess Ebay will be closing this account soon due to "Lack of activity" so he'll be forced to start another new one soon.

Happy birthday rkauer! Any 'boing' cake?
Oh and yes, DOOMY ALERT!
-
Auction ended with no bids and I can confirm that megabids01 is Doomy as the properties of the jpeg image in the auction =

I for one am very glad nobody got suckered in by this guys auction. Now, if only the law and or ebay would do something about this guys never ending antics.
-
LOL, that's brilliant :D I'm delighted nobody got suckered this time, but guys like this always end up in profit :(
-
The more people are educated about this person, the less of them will get suckered in and Doomy's profits will fall
