I bought 2 Cd Games for the Amiga last year but I did not installed yed because only yesterday I have succesfully installed my Voodoo 3 card.
Now I am wondering if I can install Heretic II and if it would work with the Voodoo Card and witch resolution is needed: on the box I read Minimun PPC 160 MHZ (and I got exactly a PPC 603e 160MHZ),then it's written Plus AGa or GFX Board 64MB Ram,Kick Start 3.x,Warp OS/3D Required,300 MB Harddisk space,Support 3D GFX-Board.
Would it work with my Voodoo 3 and at what resolution?
Second point I have Wipe Out 2097 and on the back of the cd is written for Amiga PPC + 3D Graphic Card.
Would it wort Wipe Out with my Voodoo 3 too?
Many Thanks
PS: I am looking for Quake do anyone of us wanna sell it to me?

Just install and try ? hehe :) It should work but at small resolution I think...
For quake you just need the files from pc version and exe from aminet ;)

Both work with my GREX1200 + voodoo3/3000 so...
And I succesfully tested WipeOut at 1600 on my Peg ;-)

bah, HereticII would suck on A1200/BPPC... it even sucks on CSPPC/G-Rex4000D, and it really flies on a pegII/G4 ...
unless u can play such games with 12-20fps :lol: :lol: :lol:

@krize
what files on Aminet are to fix Quake on Amiga I see a lot of files.
So you mean that the Pc version of Quake can be fixed to run on Amiga?
Let me know

@Daniele
These are the files for Blitz Quake which has added lighting and particle effects.
http://m68k.aminet.net/game/shoot/BlitzQuake_wos.lha
http://m68k.aminet.net/game/data/BlitzQuake_lit.lha
http://m68k.aminet.net/game/data/BlitzQuake_sky.lha
Unpack Blitz Quake and then copy the ID1 directory from the PC disk into the Blitz Quake directory.
Unpack the lit files and sky files to the ID1 directory and you should be ready to run.

Try and get Hyperion's port of Quake II if you can. It ran quite fast on my BBPC 200mhz, certainly faster then Heretic II.
