Here is part of a series of Video I created with a Japanese Dance group using an Amiga 1200 and ChromaKey+ with a SuperGen SX and a MiniDV 3CCD camera.
SCALA MM300 is running the background behind the Dancer.
THis is an A1200.....no Graphics card.
This is not the complete video and the compression is crappy on YouTUBE. I will upoad a better version soon.
THis is to show How useful and how good an Amiga can be even today. The original Video Looks crisp!

EDIT: Just realised the conversion I uploaded there to YouTUBE was crappier than I thought...its dropped some frames quite a few times........and like 5 frames at a time!....Oh Well, I will reconvert it again.

Hi,
Really love the whole thing !
I just regret I have some framedrop.
Please upload it
Thanks

I'm pretty impressed with the background graphics. Did you draw/animate those from scratch?
-
nice graphics and animation :-)
It's impressive what can be achieved with creativity and an old A1200 :-)
good work!
-
@ral-clan
no I didn't animate those..although I do have alot that I animated myself.
The one in that Video you can get from Digitaljuice.com
they used to make Animated backs for the Toaster Flyer. Thats how they started.
Anyhow, I buy their Jumpbacks and convert them to HAM8 or DCTV (opt 3)
Then I use either SCALA MM300 or Elan performer to present them. (Elan performer I use with the DCTV and DCTV RGB adaptor)
You can load tons of anims and play them instantly and mix live with them. But in that video on YouTUBE I am specifically just making a Video to use as backdrop to all the other graphics i will overlay on it during a party or at a Club, again using the Amiga with a genlock.

Ah, Japanese women. :pint:
(the amiga-related stuff is pretty cool, too ;-))
-
They're dancing more like they're American chicks, rather than Japanese chicks. Japanese decended girls in New York type deal?
-
I'm really impressed. I hope you put up more videos.
-
Hi,
which color do you use for keying the background ?
I also use my 1200 for presentation of our old car club...
A1230D-SCSI/50FPU/192Mb/4GbUW/Scala400MM/Pluto Genlock/DVD player.

great job ! frameskips are result of youtube compression ?
Also maybe google videos will give better result with this kind of thing. there'sn't a size limit or such there.
-
That was fun . . . me wants more . . . :-)

No the Skip Frames are a result of Windows Movie Maker on my PIII laptop wich I used because iMovie wasnt liking my Video. Its much smoother in iMovie but the file is humoungous...........it may be worth it though for the increase in Quality.
@CLS2086
I use BLUE as my background.
EDIT:
Here are more videos, but for some reason the quality is worse! Oh Well, Ill try again later:

I have found that I get good results rendering to DivX at the 320x240 res so that the youtube software doesn't have to do that much conversion during the upload.
-
@cecilia
I think you are right............many of the well compressed videos I have seen, have a DivX Logo on them :-)
thats what I will try next

Ah, Japanese women, I remember a time on Cyprus with a couple young Japanese women on their trip after Uni, the sun, the water, the Jacuzzi, the ... umm ... oh wait I'm lost in a memory and I don't think I could relive that time now even with a couple bottles of viagra. Oh well. Nice video
