Has anyone tried one of these with an ide to cf adaptor? Does it work like normal cf?
-
No reason why not. It's just designed for more pro camera users who want a fast continuious shooting mode. Just dont expect it to be any faster then ordinary ones.

you should be fine.
i have an Ultra2 CF card in a CF2IDE adapter, hooked into an IDE2SCSI bridge card connected to an A500 GVPHD8+
plus i have an Ultra3 connected the same way to an A500 GVPA530.
all working well :)

Couldnt you u have added some extra cconverts in therr. IDE > SATA and then a SATA > IDE :-D

 , was thinking about it to see if i could hook up an Sata drive, but Compact flash... mere words cannot describe the heavenly sound of silence after suffering the whining howl of a 17+yr old 52Mb SCSI drive :-)

Great thanks, these are $6 cheaper than the originals (!!). I thought the A1200 ide interface wouldn't "keep up with it", whatever that might mean..

It won't. The A1200 IDE interface will be the bottleneck - so the card will slow down.

I have 3 of them (2 GB versions) and they work great, via IDE or PCMCIA.
