Dear Friends:
I just acquired the two original floppy disks that came with CU amiga october 1998 (disks 192,193) and have cinema 4d. I was able to install cinema 4d on my hd and it works...but it needs a serial number -where can I get it? -
to run..is asking me for the serial number but I dunno how to get it.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thank you!!!

The floppy version was also included on the CD which was issued at the same time. The CD used the floppy installer script, so doesn't work properly. If you Go Here (http://www.intuitionbase.com/waveguide/c4dinstall.html) you'll find what you need. If you don't have the CD, you'll have to open up the Installer script and and delete the assign or just extract what you need for the floppy installer.

Odd, the pages are on AMR (http://amr.abime.net/issue_668) and they don't mention a serial. Are there any readme files included?

The serial number was erroneously omitted from CU and later published in Amiga Format... not sure what issue. Google or searching the subsequent Amiga Formats on AMR can probably turn it up.

You just have to dig into the installer script mentioned
