Post by: Daniele on February 25, 2008, 07:12:24 PM
I am wondering if with a Spider USB card I can read USB Pen Drives or I do need special software?

What do know abot that?

I have used various pen drives with the SpiderII and the Poseidon USB stack.
Anything that is plug an play and doesn't need specialist software on the peecee is probably ok.

Most pen drives will work, but I've noticed with some of the cheaper ones, they're not recognised straighaway. By that, I mean that the drive icon doesn't appear on Workbench. I had to run Trident to make it appear and be recognised.

The more expensive ones do wo almost at once.

I even got a Wacom Graphire tablet which works, and USB hard drives work fine too.
