Welcome,
Assuming that you purchased an Amiga A1200 or Amiga A600, you can use the EasyADF PCMCIA Transfer Kit (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=440)

Amiga Explorer (http://www.amigaforever.com/ae/)

I haven't tried Amiga Explorer yet - I intend to try it next weekend
I can vouch for the PCMIAKIT though. That works great :-)

1st its an amiga 500 (amigakit looks great + Im gonna want a few things
I was thinking more along the lines of burn ADF to floppy anD slot Disc into amiga anD away you go but have hearD about Disc issues ? between amiga anD p.C .
P.S I like the Disc reaD noise the amiga makes, the sense of anticipation you get before the title screen so Im not too up for a large Data sharing thing although it looks hanDy plus I might invest sometime or another .
again excuse the Ds
Thanks for the responses Im gonna frequent this site!

AmigaExplorer is dog slow, but thanks to it I 'revived' my Amiga. I only had one Workbench disk, and all the other solutions either needed the extras disk, a newer workbench, or indeed a pcmcia slot (which of course the A500 lacks).

You didn't say that in your 1st message
Amiga Explorer may be slow (I've yet to find out but I guess using the Serial port would be slow) but without the PCMIA it could be the only answer.
Which is why I'm going to be using it next weekend to put some software onto my A500+ with HD ;-)

It can be done, but that was the workbench 2+ answer of mine. This can be done with Crossdos (which is part of workbench 2+)

Well, I'm relatively new to Amiga, I got my A500 back in 1998 or so (I have played on it by friends already before).
Initially it was for me nostalgia. But I began admiring the OS, and the gameconsole/computer hybrid setup.
Many here are power A1200 users though.

Not directly, no. Though you can hook it up to a flatscreen television (preferably using rgb). Or, you can use a scandoubler/flickerfixer.

My 1200 tower is hooked up to my flat screen through RGB on Amiga side and Scart lead on the other end. Works ok for games - not very good for applications because I haven't got a flickerfixer on it.
My 4000D is hooked up to a PC flatscreen monitor for applications through a graphics card and to a portable tv for games in the same way as my 1200 tower.
Not the best way of doing things but it works for me
