Title: Funny (and relevant to Amiga) conversation found on Slashdot
Post by: HenryCase on February 24, 2008, 05:11:37 PM
Hi,

Found the following exchange on a Slashdot news story about the death of Netscape (http://slashdot.org/articles/08/02/23/0039201.shtml):

Quote
How many times is Netscape going to die?

Quote
Ask Atari or Napster. Old trademarks never die, they just get adopted by successively seedier operations.

I'd group Amiga with this. One thing I think we've missed with the current Amiga trademark owners is we ask what they are going to do for us, but we don't raise the question about why they want Amiga as much we should (maybe because its a complete mystery!).

Just found another funny Amiga related exchange on Slashdot. It was in a story about the (sometimes misguided) passion of Apple fans. I laughed, a lot...
http://apple.slashdot.org/apple/08/03/23/0151225.shtml

"Tribe of Apple, meet the Church of the Amiga.

BOOYAH! :)"

"Apple don't have nothing on them rabid amiga hippies. I still get hate mail from them crazy mother f*ckers."

I think you've got to be able to laugh at yourself sometimes, I certainly did. :-D No offense intended, feel free to ignore my post.
