Yes I remember back in the late 80's when I had my beloved A1000 I wished I could afford a fast memory expansion card. I only had 512k and a lot of new apps and games needed 1MB. I simply could not afford any of the very expensive memory options. I remember really wanting the Minimegs 2MB RAM card for the A1000 by Memory and Storage Technologies. M.A.S.T. It was the cheapest board for the A1000. I was determined to get it but I never did. I eventually took the easy way out and sold my A1000 and bought an A500 with A501 clone! LOL The A1000 was looking like it was getting abandoned so I jumped ship while I still could.
Well after 20 years I finally (http://cgi.ebay.com/MiniMegs-2MB-External-Memory-Module-for-Amiga-1000_W0QQitemZ200196356963QQihZ010QQcategoryZ4598QQcmdZViewItem) got the Minimegs!
It was the only time I saw it on ebay and I had a very high reserve on it just in case. LOL

WOW Grats!!!
Now all i have to do is find one for myself....

Congrats . . .
Since you sold your A1000, what will you connect it too . . . :-?

Beware. They appear to use a different RAM than other A1000 memory expansions and are very static sensitive. I have one part-working one and threw out one nonworking one.

I just aquired an A1000 for free a few days ago and I have this running on it now. Now all to do is fix the floppy drive, as it seems a little finicky about reading disks....

Hahah what fun! It turned out the Minimegs A1000 I got only had 1MB on it in the form of ZIP chips 256x4 I think? Well I had a dozen loose chips that I decided to install in it to give it the 2MB RAM. All I had to do is solder 8 ZIPs and set a jumper. It's running 2MB fine now! Testing it on an A1000 with an Insider 2 with 1.5MB right now. I got a 4MB A1000! (Man I would of killed for those specs back in 1987!!)

How much was it? If anything.
