Title: Connecting a cd drive to my a1200

was wondering if i bought a Adaptec 1460 SlimSCSI PCMCIA SCSI Adapter would it work with any scsi cd drive or do i have to find the proper amiga PCMCIA adaptor.

Won't work; there's no driver.

You could use a Squirrel if you want to use the side expansion slot of the Amiga.  8-)

That depends on your definition of a lot  :-o

There was one on Ebay recently advertised at buy it now of £50 with P&P of £3.

I've got one that I could let you have for less than that   ;-)

Since others have said that it's not compatible, How about using a buffered IDE controller and an external IDE  CDROM or mount a laptop model internally?

Many people including myself have done the laptop cd inside the A1200 hack...it works fine and looks ok if done neatly.
