Hi ! I added news on other sites about the new release of my PowerPoint viewer, PointRider. It only runs on PowerPC systems but the same engine is used in MeltingPoint, a converter of PPS files to Hollywood projects. So now, for Hollywood owners, it is possible to convert and display PPS files.
MeltingPoint is available here on Aminet (http://aminet.net/package/gfx/conv/MeltingPoint) and the PointRider site (http://amigadev.free.fr/pointrider/downloads.html).
I hope it will be useful.

Can Hollywood files be open on Scala?
If the answer is yes, that's a beautiful program you make!

@ rkauer
Hollywood can open Scala files with the Malibu plugin, but I don't think the other way around is possible.
@ corto
If MeltingPoint could be turned into a Hollywood plugin so that PowerPoint files could be opened directly with Hollywood, I think you'd have an absolutely killer product on your hands! Great work so far on PointRider, I tried the previous release and I was very impressed.

rkauer : Of course, not. Scala development was stopped before the Hollywood birth. Is not time to use Hollywood that have a plugin for Scala projects ? I don't know if Scala uses scripts but if it is the case, a converter could be done (not by me, I have too many projects with higher priorities, but I could provide a library in the future).
Matt_H : It certainly possible to make automatic loading (plugin, ARexx, ...). If you enjoyed the previous version, you certainly will be much more impressed by the last version :)

@corto
could you include changing slide after LMB click ?
-
rzookol : It is certainly easy to do !
Don't hesitate to ask features you want to get.

.PPTX files are easy to decode and use by anyone rename them .ZIP files and unarchive them.. The elements including the graphics files are there for dissemination..
