There's a discussion on another popular Amiga forum that I'm a member of.
We've found a new subgame in "Apidya" that has been hidden for sixteen years because of a bug in the game. The (my) latest 2.02 WHDLoad patch makes the lost level available for the first time since 1992!
The patch will hit the WHDLoad site in a day or two, but its available right now on my own site. I've written a blog article about it too, with screenshots and a gameplay video.

Awesome!

Fantastic! :-o

its not new..there are at lease 2 sub games in the above game.
-
Yes it is new! yeah there`s other sub games in Apidya.. but this one is brand new..
Way to try and piss on another mans chips! :crazy:
Well done Girv.. been following your topic on the other forum ;)

@Stainy
Way to try and piss on another mans chips! you better watch what you type in forums.
im not taking away anyones good work.
if i remember there are as many as 3 sub games. SPEED OF LIGHT is one of them.
well done! girv73. can you please post screenshot of this level ( if possible ).

Well done girv ;-) I have to see this (love the game)
PS. You could also stick the info about it on

@delshay: as you say, there are other well-known subgames in Apidya: "Heaven & Hell", "Underground", "Pike Stomach" and "Rat Stomach" as detailed on this Apdiya fansite (http://www.avians.net/~hawthorn/apidya/bonus.html).
But I don't think "Speed Of Light" could have been seen before as there is a bug in the game (both versions) that makes the game think you've always already played the bonus round on level 4 and so never start it, even if you get to the right entry location.
If you have seen it before I'd be very interested to know where?
There are more details, including screenshots and video footage here (http://www.girv.net/blog/archives/apidya-lost-bonus-level-uncovered-after-16-years.html).

That is an awesome find, good work on patching it for WHDload too! I'll have to try that once I've got my A1200 running again!

Wow, just read about this on girv's site - I too can remember listening to that music in the sound test, but never being able to get onto the level.

Look three post above yours and you see that it's not.

@AJCopland: no need to wait if you have WinUAE ;)
@delshay: no problem :)
@jmbattle: that's me doing the controlling in the video, thanks :) The blog article linked above has more details.
@Flashlab: not sure what you're referring to there?

PS. You could also stick the info about it on

I've updated the Wikipedia entry, but I couldn't see anywhere
suitable on the Exotica wiki for this information.
