Are the FPM SIMMs compatible with blizzard cards or they must be EDO SIMMs?
-
The 1230IV at least can take both. See if you find the manual for yours at the Unofficial phase5 Support Page (http://phase5.a1k.org/index.php?id=2).

It´s for Blizzard PPC.I have the printed manual but it not mention nothing About the memory compatibility for FPM or EDO.
-
No Amiga Accelerator used either feature, so don't worry... :-)
-
..except ACL 1200XL...(EDO)
..almost forgot, QuikPak 060 for A3000/4000, too...
-
Im pretty sure my 1230 is using FPM memory so Id say yes.
-
FPM is the preferred RAM for Amiga accelerators.

All info I can find only says that EDO will work... not that the Feature is used... I seriously doubt any Amiga Memory controller uses FPM or EDO...

@bloodline
The Quickpak 060 does.

From the benchmarks, it does seem that the Quickpak does use the EDO feature... that would make sense, as the Quickpak is the newest of the Accels...

Read the test of 1200XL :-D Don't remember if it was CU or AF, BUT 1200XL was the fastest 030/50 accelerator (using EDO features), and the only one which did over 10 MIPS on SysInfo AFAICR
