I'm in the process of setting up Amiga Explorer but am having trouble with my null modem cable. Can anyone recommend a good null modem cable they've successfully used and available to buy in the UK?
Thanks in advance!

I am not in UK, so i don't know any shop there... but if you know just to solder.. you can try to make one by yourself (or convert yours) with this guide Null-Modem Serial Cables (http://www.amigaforever.com/kb/3-105.html)

Would this work?

@ straycat,
I use one of these: - Serial Cable (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/19478)

I made my own using the schematics at cloanto's webpage. It works neat on AmigaExplorer and works perfectly with mi siamese rtg sytem over serial.

I'm looking for a cable someone had previous success with so many thanks for this tip (my existing cable has worked with an Amstrad NC100 but I know Amiga Explorer is supposed to use all connections).
Thanks to everyone else for suggestions :)

That is what I am using to ;-)

Probably, but you need to be sure the cable is
7 wires, not just 3.

This turned out to be a bit of a weird one. I did buy another cable in the end but still the same problem. Doing things back to front (as I often seem to do) I then decided to try and copy the files to a floppy (using MessySID 2) rather than send the Setup over the null modem cable. It worked first time, so the cable was fine but the transferring of the setup files over the cable just didn't work. So advice to anyone else - if you have problems try the floppy method if you can before going for another cable!
