It seems unusual... but it looks like he was working for this company from at least 1998-2002. Is he still there?

Greg Gorby

Manager of Research and Development

Mr. Greg Gorby has recently been promoted to Manager of Research and Development.

Greg has been associated with SCI since June, 1998. His experience and creativity have been put to task in carving, information services and product development. Greg brings to the company and our customers a lifetime of experience in color, sculpture, mold making, and computer programming.

Greg holds a BFA degree from Kent State University, and taught fine art at the University of Miami in Florida. His unusual education included four years of math and physics, making him an oddity in the art department.

This blend of science and art serves him well, helping him solve problems through analytical reasoning tempered with an astute aesthetic sense. His skills include technical writing, having written several software manuals. His computer programming experience includes writing and bringing to market a full featured 3D rendering software package.

With Greg's help, we anticipate advances in both our colors and our production process. Congratulations, Greg!

I think I found him! I will post tomorrow if I can contact him. I used to know him a little way back when(1990's) and found him by accident. :)

Thanx galacticadude, we would love to talk to him about the future of Aladdin 4D. We would love to have his input and know his original dreams for the 3D package.

Very nice, please try again. It would be so nice to talk with Greg Gorby the original creator of Aladdin 4D. His thoughts and wisdom would be exciting to know.

Maybe you would have better luck using a different kind of bait?

I don't know if it is Gorby season or not where you are, but there are very stiff penalties for Gorby hunting outside the posted dates:crazy:

Sorry,  I was biting my tongue for SOOOO long trying to keep that back that I had to either let it out or POP!

The only way the Hunt will ever succeed is if they hire Jack Ryan.

(Sorry, you weren't the only one itchin' to "POP." ;)

Here he is. I'm still trying to contact him. Having some issues that need more immediate attention keeping me from doing so.

Whoever wins the Greg Gorby hunt and finds him wins a free Aladdin 4D after Greg contacts us or we have a way to reach him.

Hey, Pyro, if you're looking for possible expansions, I'd be more than happy to give you a list of things to add to make Aladdin4D more robust.  ;) Personally, I'd really love to see Sub-D surfaces and joint controls for animations, but that's just me. But I do love some of the dynamic effects I've played with in Aladdin more than in Maya. Much easier to use.

Thanx Methuselas, we would be interested in any suggestions for improvements you have and we would pass them along to DiscreetFX Labs.

@vamigan

Thanx, we will try to contact him, best possible contact info we have gotten so far.
