Title: Amiga 500 for sale...not in working order
Post by: kharmann on January 31, 2008, 02:09:55 AM
I'm not sure when I last used it, but, it's definately been a loooooong time.  I have the moniter, keyboard, power unit, mouse, and about 70 games.  The keyboard is slightly damaged.

Probably a good idea to mention where you're located and if you'd ship, etc, etc

Cheers!

Just some reference for you, a working A500 usually sells for $30 to $100 depending on cosmetic condition.  You are better off parting the setup especially the monitor, those usually sell for $50+.

I need to move to the USA then to sell all my stuff... $50+ for a 1084 monitor? You can get those almost for free here. And A500s as well...

Thanks very much for your help on that....I really didn't know where to start with this, and it's been sitting in my house forever and ever, and I'm just cleaning things up and would like to get rid of the computer.

I'm in Canada, would you be able to direct me to another site where there might be an interest?

Thanks!

You're right!  I didn't even think of that....eeeesh.  I really didn't know where to go with this, and I don't even know what kind of market, if any, that there would be out there for what I have.

Thanks for your help and if you happen to know of anywhere more local, I'm in Canada, Ontario to be more specific, I'd appreciate knowing if there's anywhere else I can advertise this.

 :-)

kharmann,
You could post your goods on Craigslist or kijiji or just clarify some of the questions already posed and leave it here on Amiga.org. There is still a moderate market here in Ontario, although I haven't been part of it for a while - I do see a fair amount of Ontario (and Canadian) activity on Amiga.org. I suggest you post some more details regarding location, pickup availability, a short list of some of the more popular games, maybe some photos, etc. You should get some nibbles.

Pete

You could always stick it on Amibay,it's a dedicated retro computer trading site (mostly Amiga at present). There are a lot of modders on there who may either be able to fix it or use or for spares.
