Title: OS 3.5 boingbag pitfall with P96
Post by: arnljot on January 28, 2008, 11:50:45 AM
I had heard of others who had this problem. But I had no idea that it could happen to me :-)

This is what happened:

1) I installed WB 3.1 on my A4kPPC w/PIV
2) I adjusted all PIV settings so that they were perfect on my LCD monitor (Picasso96ModeTNG rocks!)
3) I updated to OS 3.5

So far, so good. Yes? Well... To my surprise I found to boing bags for OS 3.5, which I dutifully installed...

4) Install BB3.5_1 => BOOM! All my P96 settings GONE!
5) Install BB3.5_2a

So....

Is there any way I can restore my good work with P96Mode, or do I have to start over again?

Btw, with P96ModeTNG I even got the FF/SD to perfectly reproduce AGA on my LCD! :)

Did you boot from your EMERGENCY STARTUP DISC made my OS3.5 before you installed the Boing_bags?  That might have caused the problem (I seem to remember a similar problem happened with me).
