Seriously, I got the latest NetHack going with the 'tile' graphical version going, it is awesome. My pimples are coming back! I only eat potato chips and pepsi and I have no idea who these other people are in the house. :lol:
The one trouble I'm having is that I can't save the game. I have the NetHack: assign setup right and everything works good. When I try to save it says I don't have enough disk space (lol- several gigs) - I have 0 free bytes.
Could this be because of the partition size is too big where NetHack sits? I doesn't recognize it somehow?
Thanks for ideas.

Yes, it's probably because the partition is too big. I've run across this myself several times when using older software.
-
If the software uses a signed value to store and analyze the amount of free space, it will most likely interpret values larger than 2^31 as less than zero, assuming a 32-bit word length. (This is the same 2GB barrier enforced by MS-DOS, Amiga OS, et al.)

@TheGoose,
you could try a 1-2GB USB thumb drive?
-
You're right, it's been a looooong time since I played a game like that. They have a support site with many different ports. I might have to try the windows ce version on my pocketpc when I have some down time.

Workaround is to add roughly 1-2GB tempfile .. then the math will fall within "free storage found" area and you're able to save.
