Tulip is trying to re-acquire the Commodore trademarks, etc.

...I wonder what this will mean for the Commodore brand. Obviously, if they are willing to spend to money to re-acquire it (after selling it a few years ago) they must have some intentions.
Probably more re-branding of OEM stuff though.

No. They sold the trademarks to Yeahronimo in 2005 and are now trying to buy it back. Check the link above and Wikipedia's entry on Tulip.

Ahhh, ok fair enough. Does seem strange

At least C= is selling >SOMETHING< under their name... not like some other company we know of :madashell:

Just read the article. It's looks like both sides are pretty agree-able to the buy out. Wouldn't it be nice if they paid a visit to Acer corp next to pick up the Amiga IP. :-P

C=
**** SEE YOU ****
THERE

IT'S THE ACTUAL C64 FONT!
They're even using the OLD C=commodore logo!
One of these days I am going to mount the C= calculator I have on my computer desk!

Make sure it's consentual.

C= is actually doing something. I wonder if they've ever thought about acquiring the Amiga IP from Acer...

I hope Tulip fail, when they had the Commodore brand they just badged crap mp3 players and such.
Commodore Gaming are doing something real nice, I look at their PC's and think how cool it would be to own one.

Why sell the trademarks in the first place then try to re-acquire them later, obviously they didn't see any value in it to begin with and now, all of a sudden now want it back ??
-
As funny as it may sound, Commodore is financially standing on its own feet, unlike Amiga. Go figure :)

Tulip trying to re-acquire Commodore trademarks.
With a name like Tulip, can you blame them!
