Dumb Warnings (http://www.dumbwarnings.com)
There are several dumb warnings for PC:
(remember Murphy's law)
* Do not insert fork or other metal objects into power supply fan.
* Do not put drink on top of CD ROM tray.
* Do not use the mouse as foot pedal.
* Do not spill any liquid on the keyboard / system unit.
* Do not use this product in life support system or inside
human body.
Idea about "Dumb Warnings" for AmigaOne / Pegasos:
* This product cann't run MS Windows and MS Office
* This product does not contain any INTEL or X86 compatible CPU.
Any other ideas? :)
-
i thought they would of been amiga specific... :-(
-
* Do not use tippex directly on screen.
-
Although you may have seen pictures of one, and possibly heard it go 'Boing!' this computer is not a ball, and should not be taken to the beach, or kicked around in the backyard.
BTW, What's Tippex??
-
Tippex is a brand name for correction fluid for blotting out mistakes on paper.
Because it was the first popular brand , the name became synonymous with the product, hence all correction fluids became commonly known as tippex.
Just a bit of not-so-useful info. :-P
-
Neat bit of UK language history, eh? In USA it would be White Out and everyone calls it that even if their particular bottle has "liquid paper" written on it. :-)
Too bad "PC" has become synonymous with "computer", though.
Let's compare nutty colloquialisms. How about "Q-Tip"? Is that what ya'll UKer's call "cotton balls on the end of little sticks for cleaning of ears and hard to reach gunk in computer keyboards"? Or is that in the realm of Mr. Sheen? :-)

@GadgetMaster
Finally! Something us Americans can be proud of -
The History of Liquid Paper (http://www.liquidpaper.com/sanford/consumer/papermate/jhtml/aboutus/lphistory.jhtml)
The History of Tipp-Ex (http://www.bicworld.com/inter_en/corporate/brand_tippex.asp)
Liquid Paper was invented first! :-D
-
*Do not use in place of a real PC*
:-D
-
That link didn't work from here, but in the words of the locals "No good fo' ejack floppie when red light stay on" :-P
-
actually the generic name is 'correction fluid'
...or if you want to sound like a criminal.. 'correctional fluid' ;-)

Those would be "cotton buds" those would.

I actually like Intel's "Intel inside" sticker. I regard it as a service from Intel, so as to warn the consumer.
When I'm shopping around, I often look at HP or DEC or SGI hardware, and since many workstation and server series from these manufacturers come both in x86 and RISC flavours, I first look for the "Intel inside" mark, so I can tell if I should avoid it. =)

Oh, Good Grief, DON'T MENTION MR SHEEN AGAIN!
You know what happened last time!
So PLEASE don't refer to MR SHEEN again!
There ought to be a MR SHEEN group! Maybe there is! I'm sure somebody is gonna tell us about it!
So remember, MR SHEEN is No, No.
Everybody promise! Forget about him! Bury him!
Thank you,
JaX

Mmmm Mr Sheen....

with Mac-on-Linux obviously running on the A1 I wouldn't be too surprised about a screenshot running MoL with Mac OS X and OS X MS Office sometime...
Rather useless until something like MoL is available for Amiga OS of course ;)
my dumb warning: Internet Explorer is not an integral part of this system, it's not any part of this system so there is no Internet Explorer shortcut icon on what you call "Desktop". With "Desktop" you do refer to Workbench, don't you?
