Stupid question here. Why are there 4 empty ram sockets?
-
maybe intended as parity ?
-
I have one on my A1000. I'll pull it apart tomorrow and look inside to see if there's a clue. I even have the original disks for all of the modules, but not a hint of a manual...
-
yep, it's for parity. works only if the MultiFunction daughterboard is installed.

motrucker: Is there any chance you could create disk image files of your Starboard disks? I don't think they are available online, and they'd be a real help for people with the hardware but no disks.

I was going to ask the same thing!

I'll be more than happy to. It will take a week or so, because right now every Amiga is down for one reason or another.... Really bad week here...

Makes sense - That's why mine is populated then, since one has the multifunction board. The other has the SCSI module installed.

I've got a SCSI drive all cabled up to my Starboard 2 w/ Stardrive card, but the only software I've got for the thing is the Starboard RAM test disk. Would you mind making an image of the Stardrive portion of the software? Thanks so much!

Yes please do so as I need it too! Maybe we can have it uploaded on the Amiga Hardware sites too for others to use if they need them.

I may as well post this here, so you can all take aim together.
I had a huge family problem just after posting the offer to make images of those disks. In the mad dash to get $$$ together, I sold both Starboard units, and the disks. I still had the drive problem, so I could not even make copies of the disks.
I sold the Starboard boxes to a guy on here, from Australia. I'll try to track him down - maybe he'll help.
All I can say is that I am truly sorry to leave every one in a lurch.

I just found a guy over in the English Amiga Board that has the disks. He's going to make me images tonight. I'll fwd them to anyone interested and give them to the owner of that big, purple Amiga hardware site to post with the other Starboard 2 disk.
Yay.

SCSI too?

SCSI too?
Ya. I've already got the memory diag floppy from here:

It's the SCSI software I was asking about in particular. The guy's Starboard 2 died, but he still has the software. Clock software should be there, too.
