Hi!
Can anyone tell me what the best RTG / Mode promotion software is at the moment? Thanks!
Also, is it worth buying CyberGraphX v4.3 (I think it is) for my Pixel64 graphics board? I have been using it for years with the Ateo supplied driver and am wondering if the latest version of CGX would be better/faster?
Perhaps some Pixel64 users could enlighten me?
Thanks in advance!
Dave. :-)

Doesn't the free Picasso96 support your board?
-
Picasso96 is not free.

Hi, yip, the board is supported by Picasso but since the latest development was in 1999, I thought it might be better to change to something with current support (and which is maybe better).
What would be handy would be a review or comparison between the two.

Use the latest rtg.library and picasso96.library from matay (and maybe UAE?) check out vgr.com, they have a picasso96 section with the latest drivers.

Well I can't contribute with any fancy statistics but I can tell you that I like Picasso96 because of it's stability and because it was easy to install...
If you want similarities between the two systems, You might take a look at This search string from aminet (http://www.aminet.net/aminet.cgi?string=sysspeed)... I know it's abit off your needs but SysSpeed2.6 does system speed comparings and you can get plugin-modules from other peoples machinces... This includes some tests with Picasso96 vs CGFX on the same machine this might help you out... :-?
-Otherwise I'll just keep my mouth shut :-)

Hi folks, I've been looking on VGR etc., very good site. I must get those files you talk about and update my system.
Thanks everybody for your input - very helpful!
Cheers,
Dave.
