Really nice service: adrive.com (http://adrive.com/)
You sign up for free and instantly get 50GB free storage space to use for whatever you wish (within the law). Really sweet.
At first I thought it seemed too good to be true, but apparently they're financed by ads, plus they offer upgrade packages for money.
Oh, and the ads aren't too annoying. No popups.

Unfortunately they want tons of personal information. I can only imagine how many differnt places my information would be sold increasing junk email, phone calls and snail mail. :P

Actually seems like a good deal to me. I'll check it out later tonight.
Thanks.

what are limitations..
max file size?
direct linking? any linking? can you share files with friends?
allowed extensions?
-
I don't know the answer to all those questions. You could check out the FAQ on their site. But you can have direct linking, yes, like a normal URL.
The only thing I miss is sftp access. You have to use a Java applet in your browser (which obviously excludes using it directly from an Amiga...).

Seems max size for a single file is 2GB.
-
If it integrated as a virtual drive in Finder it would be very useful...

I just signed up and uploaded an mp3 to test it. Looks very handy to me.

How do I upload my files via File Transfer Protocol (FTP)?
ADrive only allows upload via the ADrive web interface. FTP is not supported.
Rather useless in my opinion.

I plan to use it as an additional back up for some important audio files.

Fine, I won't. But if you're talking about extensions as in filetype/fileformat, then I'm pretty sure there are no restrictions at all.

Interesting thread…I signed up for ADrive and it works great. I agree with using it as additional backup.
