Title: Recommend an ANIM player for Cybergraphx users?
Post by: Ral-Clan on January 17, 2008, 04:27:14 PM
Hi, I'm just getting into creating ANIMs on my Amiga.
One program I'm using - Aladdin 4d - can output high colour anims.

Can anyone recommend an animation playback utility for a Cybergraphx equiped system?

Multiview chokes on these animations.

So far I've only found "CyberAnim" on Aminet - which is an old program.

I think the majority of Amiga programs found on Aminet can be classified as "Old Programs".

Sorry I can't help in recommending a high color anim player for you that I have direct experience with (as I have not created any high color anims), but these names come to mind:

AdPro & MorphPlus by ASDG?, Magic Lantern, Brilliance, DPaintIV AGA, Disney Animation Studio, Lightwave .....

Almost forgot, DCTV is great for doing high color (up to 2 million IIRC) animations at full speed with only an 030, but you would have to have the DCTV hardware and convert all the animation frames to the DCTV format.  DCTV was a greatly under appreciated and under utilized Amiga only invention.

Good luck,
