Title: USB to SVGA Adaptor

Those things are useless, even on wintel boxes. Lowsy performance and limited resolution.

Sure, just write a driver for it and you are away. :)
although I am thinking the speed of that card is gonna suck.
(Oh and it has to support the slower USB speeds as 480mbps is out)

Maplins have sold these things for ages, normally used on laptops for slide shows and stuff

Cool didn't know that. first time i've seen these things  :-D  . Not that i have a miggy with USB anyway  :-(

If someone releases USB-device & Picasso96/CybergraphX drivers for this it would be one intresting RTG solution with Deneb for classics.. ;-)

I doubt this would be sensible though.

Not really, I've seen them in action and they are sluggish.. More or less like on Windows without accelerated display drivers or remote control.

USB bandwidth wise USB2.0 full out should be able to equal a Z2 graphics card with little trouble, that said Ive read these things are only any good for slideshows so...

It's not a bandwith issue, but the way those USB vga things work. They use a form of compression, and indeed only useful for slideshows or to extend your screen for more spreadsheets or whatever. Forget about having animations or movies on it.
