Title: WTB: ACARD AEC-7720UW
Post by: motorollin on January 16, 2008, 09:39:46 AM
The shipping to get this directly from ACARD is ridiculous. So I'm looking for one of these adapters, preferably in England but will pay for international shipping if the price is right.

I have been searching eBay for some time for these, and have not found any. I did contact that seller some time ago but received no reply, so I assume he is not interested in selling to me

Are these guys not any good?
SPAN (http://www.span.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=28_1202&products_id=1059)

They are based in Surrey.
Seems like a reasonable price.

Thanks! With the current exchange rate it's only marginally more expensive to have it shipped from the US! But I will bookmark that page in case nobody has one second hand for sale.

I'm answering this in my lunchtime so haven't time to look. But if this is the IDE->SCSI adapter, I've got one you can have. I'm in the UK too ;)

Yes! It is an IDE to SCSI adapter. Is your one ultra-wide SCSI like the ACARD?

[EDIT]
The ultra-wide one has a connector like this:

Hi Moto,

I'm sorry, I got a little confused. The one I have is an Adaptec AHA-1520 which is an ISA to Fast SCSI-2 Host Adapter.

I'm not sure if this is what you want?

Sorry about getting your hopes up  :-?

Ahhh no that's not what I'm after. But thanks for checking anyway. If no-one has one for sale in the next few days I'll order from SPAN.
