Dear Amiga Friends:
I don't need this now. But.... i am interested in buying one of the amiga 4000 systems that are offered in ebay.
I noticed some systems are as-is, but is supposed to be working. My question is...If I buy a used system (a4000)
and it needs fixing...is there anyone who can fix it?
Money is not an object...I just wanna know if someone can still fix amigas. If there is still someone who does...then I can buy a used amiga, and fix as needed, so even if the amiga doesn't work, I can make it work.
pls help me...and Thank you!!!

Yes there are plenty of people who can fix your computer. There's that Amiga place in France (I think) and "PG" helped me with an Accelerater not so long ago, but weather he can do actual machines I don't know.
Chances are it will work, they are built very well as a rule.
Usual issues are as follows:
Capasitors, battery leakage, CPU issues (030 or 040) and even sometimes rust.

I suppose anything can be fixed, at a price, but the major problems with Amiga's are probably the availability of the custom chips, finding good spare ones usually means butchering another Amiga.
