No Zelda to Amiga, unfortunately.
But a lot of others. The ones I like more are:
- Indiana Jones;
- Monkey Island 1 & 2;
- In Shadow of Time (available for free on Amiga Games That Weren't (http://agtw.abime.net/game.php?id=33))
- Maniac Mansion "1" (MM 2 not saw the light of day in Amigas).:boohoo:
-
all games you mentioned are point and click adventures (though great games they are). RPG (role playing game) is stuff like Eye of the Beholder, Ishar series, SSI gold box series. There're games like Zelda (top viewing isometric style ? I never played zelda), maybe valhalla ? Heimdall, Cadaver ?
-
It Came from the Desert 1 and 2!!!
I Just loved these games
Monkey Island is really great
-
Cool. Much thanks.
-
The Bards Tale I, II and III was one of my favourite series.
-
There's Realm of Sendai on Aminet.
Also there's The Speris Legacy from Team17 which has been compared to the Zelda games (which I've never played, so I can't make a comparison).
-
Speris Legacy is Zeldaish.
Ultima 4-7 are totally worth while, but for 7 you'll need Exult:

@XDelusion
download link not working.
-
The original eXult programming page for PC (http://sourceforge.net/projects/exult/) might have something for you but it looks like they don't have the Amiga version of eXult under there.

Hear, hear! :-P

IMHO the best RPG on Amiga is Fate - Gates of Dawn. There are several top RPgs as well such as: Wizardry VI, Dragon Wars, Ambermoon, Amberstar, Evil's Doom, etc.
-
Faery tale adventure by Microillusions
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Faery_Tale_Adventure
-
I loved the Bard's Tale series too. However, my favourite Amiga RPG is Dungeon Master II: The Legend of Skullkeep (http://hol.abime.net/444).
-
Hmmm, have you tried 'Neuromancer'?
William Gibson is one of my favourite authors.
Maybe not really an RPG, but a great game.
I have bid on it a couple of times, but it usually gets up to about $50, for a good condition original.
my $0.02

if you're after bird-view rpgs. while Speris is nice, Legends is the definite way to go! A true underrated masterpiece!
-
Legends (http://hol.abime.net/864) is very zelda-like and you might want to check EOB1 and EOB2, with 256colors AGA support, automap feature and HD or whdload installs, all made possible by the coder magician CFOU!
check them here:

If you want an RPG battling wargame then you can't go wrong with Total Chaos AGA (http://aminet.net/docs/rview/TotalChaosAGA-Review.jpg) free download from Aminet. And its programmed in the United States of Texas.
-
Other point and clickers are 'Simon the Sorcerer', 'Lure of the Temptress' and 'Beneath the Steel Sky'.
-
....and of course Nightlong (http://www.clickboom.com/nightlong/). :-D
-
The ones I like more are:
- In Shadow of Time (available for free on Amiga Games That Weren't (http://agtw.abime.net/game.php?id=33))
Thanks for that. I think I'll check this one out myself, looks cool. :-D
-
My best RPGs were the first two parts of Eye of the Beholder, unfortunately we didn't see the third one on Amiga. IMHO, Amberstar and Ambermoon where top-notch RPGs.
-
How about Space 1889?
-
There were also the turn based RPG's:
Blade
Legend
World of Legend Son of the Empire (the sequal to Legend)
-
Lure of the Temptress is brilliant, and Steel Sky is good! Monkey Island 2 is probably the best of its kind.
-
What about good old Nethack?. There was an Amiga tiles version.
-
How about BloodNet? 8-)
-
Thanks to all.
-
What kind of game was Buck Rogers Countdown to Doomsday?
Classification.

It was a Sierra Gold Box type of turn based RPG that they used to great effect with their D&D games. Buck Rogers used the same game engine, but was space themed.
-
Drakken was considered hybridd RPG and action i think. I liked that game. Although I dont think i was very good at it.
I thnk EOTB II rq 1mb so it wasnt on my palette.
-
Perihelion is the best RPG I played on Amiga. Nothing comes close.
-
SSI Gold box games, hands down.
But then, I'm a nut for all things 1st edition AD&D.
