Title: IDC DB9 cables for joy1 - joy2 ?

If I crimp up a set of ribbon cables for my JOY1 and 2 ports, is it just a straight across crimp, does that work?

stuff like this:

I know people are doing this for A1200 towers?

Yup, works here with a straight across crimp. Check it with a ohm meter before use to prevent the magic smoke escaping though  :crazy:

Man, I remember the days when you could actually walk into a Radio Shack and pick all these parts off the shelf.

Now, you start talkin about DB9 and ribbon cables to the R.S  guy and they call the mall security guards ASAP. They just think your're bananas.

I get thrown outta most places anyway though.
