hi,
does anyone have any experience of these?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PS-2-mouse-interface-for-Amiga-Free-S-H-worldwide_W0QQitemZ140195671040QQihZ004QQcategoryZ98928QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
just cheaper than cocolino.

Looks like a custom job to me. Better ask the seller what project it was built from so you will know any limitations.

The cocolino looks nicer :-)
-
It wont support the mouse wheel, its the simpler of the two projects available from aminet.
The cocolino would be better imho
-
this is homemade crap, buy the cocolino its good
-
i don't know how serious i'm going to be using my amiga again. so i wanted the cheapest possible... but i would want a mouse wheel! does it need software to be installed also and would it work in every app/ early startup screen?
amigakit don't seem to have them instock either.
-
Vesalia has cocolino (http://www.vesalia.de/e_cocolino%5B1194%5D.htm)
:-D
-
so i wanted the cheapest possible
Well if you have a PIC programmer the chip is about £1 (plus a 9 pin D Sub and a PS2 connector a resistor and two capacitors)
Anything else is expensive, using the original mouse is better (£10 would get you a "new, old stock" Amiga mouse)
but i would want a mouse wheel! does it need software to be installed also and would it work in every app/ early startup screen?
To activate the wheel and extra buttons then software is needed as the Amiga doesnt support it but the direction and two mouse buttons (sometimes even the third) will work without software.

yeah vesalia have both items. but would i get caught with import costs from germany or extra vat? anyone know what kind of postage costs they have? thanks.
-
To get the final price, you have to order first.
Vesalia sends by DHL.
A small Package sent by DHL to GB costs 8.60 Euro,
so it wont get cheaper than that.
From Vesalia :
(Ordering within the European Union )
Items are shipped by Deutsche Post/DHL or Hermes, we choose the least expensive forwarder for your order.
If you have a UPS account, UPS is also an option. The complete order incl. shipping costs must be prepaid either by bank transfer or by PayPal.
The actual shipping costs depend on the destination country and the weight/size of the package.
You will get the exact shipping costs by e-mail when ordering online.
As a citizen of the European Union, you have to pay the German VAT. There will be no further national taxes or custom fees.
EDIT : Ooops, i had to look up what 'northants' is...
Northamptonshire, UK ?
