Hi all.... well, I have the version 7.0 ROMs, the SCA 80 to 50 pin SCSI converter/cable and the 9gig installed in the A590. Everthing spins up nicely and the A500 reports no startup errors. My problem? Of all my cover disks I have, I don't have any utility to format the HDD. My Workbench 1.3 disks don't seem to have HD Tools either. Would someone have the A590 or WB1.3 compatible HD Tools (to format out to 4gig) program that they could copy to disk and send to me? I can paypal you a few bucks for shipping... (TjLaZer)? BTW, I may be one of the few that knows what the "Z" stands for in TJ's sig... :-D
Once I get this working, I going to get a SCSI to IDE processor (small board) and an IDE to CF memory card adapter and see if I can ditch the HDD! :-D

Upwards of 4GB is a challenge even on 3.1; I don't even know if it's possible on 1.3.
At any rate, Workbench 1.3 doesn't include any hard disk tools - those were provided on the disks that shipped with the drive controller boards. Take a look at http://l8r.net/install or http://www.amiga.resource.cx for those disks. I *think* a 2091 disk will work for the 590.

Thanks Matt! You're right.... only to 4gig (my bad). ;-)
Thanks for the links, but that puts me right back in the same boat of having to get the software over to the Amiga (once I get the HDD going - and a SCSI CD ROM - it will be so easy - I used to just copy software from my PC onto CD and then just copy to the A2000 - too easy!). Great site that Installer's Heaven though! They even have the A590 install disk. Anyone have the disk they can copy and send?

I used HDInsTools to get my 1gb SCSI he working in my A590. If you want I can mail you a disk, pm me.
