Title: WTB - A590
Post by: Nikolai on December 28, 2007, 12:10:20 AM
Is this too expensive for one? (http://cgi.ebay.com/COMMODORE-AMIGA-A-590-HARD-DRIVE-w-2-Meg-Fast-Ram-NICE_W0QQitemZ250199730335QQihZ015QQcategoryZ4598QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

I've been trying to find one on ebay and craigslist for awhile,
but I'm new to Amiga hardware and not sure what's a good deal or not.
If anyone comes across a reasonably priced A590, it would be much appreciated.

thanks!

-Nikolai.

That one is a little expensive. And I wouldn't buy it, because the windows of the eproms aren't covered. not covering eresable eproms is just unprofessional.

The A590s tends to be a soughtafter item. And it usually go for high prizes on ebay...
Most of the A500 sidecar expansion tends to go for high prizes. :-(

First off the current price is not expensive for this item, as it is hard to come by and A500 HD side cars are sought after.  I paid $150 for mine, but mine did come in it's original box.

Second, you do not want this one as it is in Europe and shipping will kill any deal you might think you are getting.  Also if it comes with a PS, it will be 220 volts!!!!

Well as Markus said, I'll be wanting something that taken care of
but I'm certainly not looking for still in the box.

By the way TjLazer, where exactly is "Historic" south tacoma, that isn't pretty much next to Lakewood is it? Lakewood's friggin' scarry in my opinion.

thats not that bad so far..I would keep my eye on it as they are pretty hard to come by in great condition nowadays BUT I would definitely get the original external power supply that came with the A590 (or make one) as just running it off the A500 is risky business with these vintage systems
