Title: A1/Pegosus & x86 users play happilly?
Post by: WarPiper on July 19, 2003, 10:53:31 PM
I wonder, since most A1 and peg owners are using some flavor of linux, and well, I know that linux is common with x86'ers; kinda, I  was wondering if you guys play a game that was made for linux put compiled for PPC and I have the same games, but compiled for x86, would we be able to play those games online with one another, providing that the games support online game play?

If so, then maby this could be the start of something great, and not really seen befor between Amiga and x86 users.

it might seem childish but hay, why not?

FreeCIV, Quake clones, Heretic2, etc. works - not even Linux required.

Another one we tried lately, which runs only on linux (as neither AOS nor MorphOS has capable JavaVM yet) is MegaMek from sourceforge. Problem is they have always beaten me :-)

@warface,

is that like like mech warrior? I am going to look it up and see about getting it, I would like to get into playing games with the Amiga community, even though they are not Amiga only games.

It's a tabletop Battletech game. There must be screenshots. The page is methinks something like http://megamek.sf.net (http://megamek.sf.net)
