Title: Trying to use CyberPhotogenics in OS4
Post by: A4000_Mad on December 24, 2007, 08:58:26 AM
Hi,

I'm wanting to get one of my favourite progs called CyberPhotogenics (also known as Photogenics_Lite) working in OS4.

Firstly, I do not get a nasty report from the Grim Reaper :-)

When attempting to start the program the HDD is read for a couple of seconds and "Attempting to load program Cyberphotogenics" is displayed at the top of the screen. But it doesn't start and the A4000 does not crash or hang.

As you can see there is nothing in the icons Tool Type, so prehaps I could put something in there? The screengab also shows what SnoopDos found.

Many thanks :pint:

P.S. OS4 gets graphics cards working great, but there is no screenmode promotion utility that I can find. Is there something like 'ChangeScreen' or 'NewMode' that can be put into the WBStartup drawer?

(I have tried 'ChangeScreen' and 'NewMode' but they both upset the Grim Reaper :nervous:)

Documentation/Prefs/Screens.doc mentions that the Screens
prefs editor has (limited) screen promoting capabilities.

Also, the "Mode Promotion" tickbox from IControl prefs is now buried inside GUI prefs.

I'm risking life and limb on Xmas day to tell you that Photogenics-SE has worked in OS4.

Have a great day :pint:
