Hello.
This rare hardware for A1200 is not even mentionned in the OS4 compatibility list or the threads about 0S4.
As it is itself compatible with Blizzard PPC, although i currently prefer to use it with an Apollo 1260, i need to know if someone tried the new OS with this bus and its boards (Pixel64 for VGA and AteoNet for network), before considering upgrade.
Thanks.

It would be interesting to see if it works, shouldn't OS4 be theoretically be able to use 68k drivers?
-
Yes but i am concerned for the "Startateobus" resident file wich requires a reboot. Would this be compatible with OS4 boot procedure?
-
i had an ateobus in my a1200 tower which i sold....the start ateobus never required a reboot for me

I doubt the Ateobus will work as there aren't any OS4 Drivers for it, I think as a general rule, if it's not in the OS4 compatibility list it hasn't been tested, so it may or may not work, Though if the Ateobus does work I shall eat my hat sir :)

You must have forgotten, because it can't work without a reboot: maybe you haven't noticed it, but startateobus cause a flasing multicolor screen at startup, then reboot itself.

Unfortunately i don't think any developper of AOS4 had the chance to test this bus as it is a rather uncommon piece of hardware.

i recall perfectly,i was running os3.
my amiga straight booted with the pixel64 drivers loaded.
never could find a keyfile for ateonet though so sold it

I have an A1200T with AteoBUS sitting at home. If someone wants to send me a BlizzardPPC with OS4 to test it with, I'd be more than happy to post a full report here. ;-) :-D
