Hi to all! I would appreciate a little help on the following problem: I inserted my 3c589 PCMCIA card on my A1200T with OS4 installed. I tried to create a new ethernet connection, but my 3c589 isn't recognized by the connection wizard. What should I do? Has anyone installed a 3c589 under OS4 and how? I also installed cardpatch & cardreset but nothing happened. Are cardpatch & cardreset required under OS4?

Cardreset is not required. Did you copy the 68k 3*.device (don't know exactly) to devs:network ? It is shown in the list of devices but you have to copy manualy there.

No. I didn't. Thanks, I will try it.

I had the same problem , installing the 3c589.device didn't help, and installing pccard.library gave me huge headaches resulting in a re-install of the OS.
Tried with and without my hardware PCMCIA fix but nothing. Much messing later and it still hasn't been sorted. Hoping for some tech help soon...

YES! IT WORKED! I'm posting this from my OS4 A1200T! What I did was that I downloaded 3c589.lha from Aminet, extracted it, and copied 3c589.device to DEVS/networks and pccard.library to LIBS. I executed then the Network Wizard, pointed to 3c589.device and... ready! Thanks for the help, and thank God for OS4!
