Can anyone tell me how many disks civilisation comes on?
-
4 IIRC.. Not sure tho, wasn't there an ECS and AGA version ?
-
The AGA version is on four disks.. I dont know about the ECS version (if there is one).

Thats what i thought, the reason i asked is my miggy broke a week or two ago so i am unable to play the game other than on winuae and as i cant convert my original disks to adfs i decided to download some adf images of the game which i installed to my winuae hd but when i start the game it asks for disk 8, anyone know why?

As I Remember it, you´ll just have copy the contest of the disk and assign the disk to the directory. If you don´t assign them, the error you´r describing will show up.
But i´m not sure though.

Correct.
Assign the names of the 4 disks to the directory you put everything, and suddenly it works.
If not, it asks for disk 8 :-)

I dont know about the ECS version (if there is one).
I believe the ECS version was on only two disks. I have it here... somewhere. It played amazingly well, considering the limited resourses of my A500. (1mb RAM, 2nd floppy drive)
Actually, it played better than the AGA version did on my 1200/030/16MB, etc... At least until the AGA patches to turn off the stupid fade-in/fade-out screens.

AGA version 4 disks
eCS version 4 DISKS
Cdrom version 1 cd.
themepark aga 4 disks
themepark ECS 2 disks
Cdrom version 1 CD (2 diff cd versions , 1 cd32 and one for aga and ecs and not cd32)
i mentioned the themepark stuff as i had a feeling someone in here was mixing theme park and civ.
