Title: OS 4.0 classic -- No configuration Data on SYS/Kickstart
Post by: amiga92570 on December 15, 2007, 01:18:16 PM
Tried installing OS 4.0 on cyberstorm PPC 233mhz. set Maprom to off and ram to 70ns. I get "No configuration Data on SYS/Kickstart" popup when I start the installation either by floppy or within 3.9 workbench. Anyone else get this error. I thought maybe it was due to battery not on motherboard, but others have said they installed with no battery installed. Will be trying to work this out tomorrow.

@amiga92570

Kickstart 3.0 or 3.1 ROM chips installed?
If yes, please boot OS3.9, open a shell, insert the
CD and type something like

CD CD0:System ; Or CD1: or however the CDROM drive is named
Assign SYS: ""
C/BootLoader FILENAME Kickstart/KickLayout-A3000 VERBOSE

Which error message is shown exactly?
