Es ist ein Schäferhund!

-Inspired by Motorollin.
Mein Hund is actually much älter jetzt. Das was a few Jahre ago. Ironically, that toy in the background is one she would never touch until recently. Now it is her favourite.

Ahhh, she's beautiful :-) Time for Puppies of Amiga.org I think :-)

Aw, that's cute!
But isn't it "Das ist mein Welpe" in German? ;-)
-
Ich weiß nicht wo deinen Hund ist!
-
But isn't it "Das ist mein Welpe" in German?
Possibly! I pick up a lot of bad German from my co-workers, some of whom are Germans who have been hier so long they speak in badly mixed German/Englisch.
Ich weiß nicht wo deinen Hund ist!
I'm completely lost on that!
-
Ist hier mein Welpe = Is here my puppy
-
"Here is my puppy." The way I understand it "Hier ist mein Welpe", which is the more obvious translation, is actually acceptable, but not proper.
-
Nope, 'Ist hier..' is the beginning of a question =).
Schäfers are beautiful dogs, we used to have a Tervuren shepherd puppy when I was a kid.
Unfortunately he decided to chase the headlights of an oncoming car :\.

Every time I think I have it figured out, I'm wrong! I'm beginning to think German is more difficult than English! Still way easier than Mandarin though.
-
Baah! try learning Scanian! ;-)
-
Never heard of it. What is it?
I try to know at least five words in as many languages as I can. Preferably, how to ask for a pint of beer, and say Thank You for it.
Yi bei piju.
Danke schön!
:-D

Skånsk is something like the unwanted bastard child of a forced marriage between Danish and Swedish :-D.
-
Pfft! The Scanian language has been around for just as long as Swedish and Danish. The last few hundred years of occupation and ethnical cleansing has made it sound much more like Swedish, though. :-(
