Has anyone tested this? How well does it run?

It ran nicely on my A1, but it suffers from Unix path annoyances and dumps its config file in the parent directory of the executable.

Good to hear! I'm working on a Star Wars Total Conversion that will replace the DOOM 2 IWAD completely. I'm making it compatable with the Nintendo DS port so I'm sure it will run well even on Amiga that barely meets the requirements to run OS 4.

I've one more question. Does this port have it's own menu, or does it merely default to doom.wad like vanilla DOOM?

There's no front end, if that's what you mean.
The in-game menu has been modified to allow quick adjustment of some of the engine improvements, but bugs in the code mean that selecting a new .wad file does not work correctly.
