What is a good place to get an A3000 motherboard repaired? All I get is a black screen. Have checked the jumpers, reseated the chips, tried a different power supply and nothing.
Would prefer someone in Canada or NA.

I'm sorry about your preferences... but:
Amiga center ( http://www.amigacenter.com/ ) are the only people left in the world that I know for sure will do a good job for you.

I don't know if I'd be too quick to repair it. I recently dug out my old A1200 and restarted it only to get a black screen which, when you look up the color codes means everything AOK. When I waited another 30 seconds -- longer than I would normally expect for an Amiga -- everything was fine.
Two cents.

where are you?
any chance you are near a still active user group or are on an active list of what used to be an active user group?
there are still several folks in the mid atlantic area who might be able to troubleshoot for you.
I believe there are still several in the Chicago area as well as California.
might try trolling around to find someone who's had some experience...

I have nothing against sending it to Europe to be fixed, just that it takes a long time and can be pricey to get shipped.

For repairs in the US, check this posting over at AW.net...
