In case anyone is interested, I recently came across this web site (http://www.recycledgoods.com/) which happened to have a handful of chinnon drives (http://www.recycledgoods.com/item/8705.aspx) which, I understand from an Amiga Floppy compatibility list (http://www.freewebs.com/computolio/amiga_floppy_compatibility.html) are usable without modifications in an Amiga. They may have additional compatible drives there as well, and, at least, one drive listed as being an Amiga drive.
