I was wondering, why there are no icons/themes of amiga-icons for kde or gnome.
I like the new OS 3.5-4 style avery much and would have them under linux. there are many MacOS themes.
I would like to have an amigaOS environment on linux.
nayone interested in porting some graphics stuff? ;-)

Me!! ;-)
I grabbed some PNG icons from Aminet and use them on my BSD box. But what I'd like to see is Masonicons... What converter could be used to convert them to standard PNG?

Check out infotopam - http://linux.die.net/man/1/infotopam
Gnome can open some .info icons, I just dragged them out of an archive to my desktop and could view them. For those that you can't XnView runs in Wine, it can open them and save as a different format. I only spent 2 minutes on that though so your mileage may vary.
Check out my other themes as well (I see a link to one in the first post).

Install icon and PNG datatypes and then just convert .info files to PNG with your favorite converting tool.

Any recommendation?

AIAB uses PNG icons, so just rename the .info files to .png and you should be fine.
I would recommend seeking out the original iconset 'cat_i' by d980. This talented artist has been working closely with the AROS theming, so it may be worth keeping an eye out on AROS-Exec.
