The holy grail! Well, at least the holy hand grenade of Antioch.
-
heh...hadn't realized the RKMs were a rabbit killer!
-
Love to have these. I have the Hardware manual already. This would give me a set. Wish me luck:-D
[EDIT]
It looks like AMC258 wants them, so I won't be the one that pushes it up any higher for you. Good Luck to you.

Dang! I was hoping to sell you my hardware book. Why are there so many of the hardware one around?
-
@ AMC258
If you're looking to unload that same edition of the hardware manual, let me know.
-
I guess it depends on the outcome of the auction which I kinda hope I lose because I'm broke and I don't really *need* the books anyway, I do have the CD...
-
(um, not something the seller likes to hear unless you're outbid...heh...as far as payment goes.)
Still some like the actual manuals so I'm sure things will work out.
-
Wouldn't dare to bid even if I'd love to have them. Postage to me is quoted to be US $165.80

 just 165?
Shipping and Handling To Czech Republic
US $292.41
:-D :-D :-D

dude, UPS is such a rip off ... you should post USPS instead to get realistic shipping quotes and more bids from intl. buyers. Once I've have been asked by UPS 350$ for delivery of a package which failed to clear customs. I went to airport myself and got the package instead (took me 3 hours). since then I hate UPS with all my heart.
-
Hmmm...
realize now I selected UPS Worldwide Express for international shipments which results in extremely fast though extremely expensive shipping.
Sorry about that.
can't seem revise the options at this point.
for future reference, anyone have suggestions on a reasonable shipping method from the U.S. to Europe? or other?
-
Amazon has a set of 5 books: http://tinyurl.com/2yv6a3
As noted in this thread on amiga.org: http://tinyurl.com/2jh3hr
The set is US $399, so it makes your books cheap even one is missing, and shipping is high :)
Or look at it this way: You're gonna make some $$ on your books :)
-
I had expected they'd fetch a few dollars...heh.
(Personally, I find it hard reading and digesting technical information from a CD.)
..next time I'll pick other international shipping methods though...again, sorry about that.
-
That's the only reason I want the books. I have the OS 1.x books, but it would be really nice to have this set in book format.
Don't worry, I'm not one to back out on a contract. I'm good for my money even if my stomach is not. I'll just have to work some more overtime during Christmas.
-
Wow - I have a full set? (5 books) of these, 3rd edition, in good condition. How much is the set going for these days?
-
here's a link to a set with a few extras that sold a short while ago...
I'm hoping for similar results.

I have bought and received alot of items from ebay US and the sellers always used the US Postal service and i have gotten them quickly and with less head ache, so i am happy for sellers that i buy from to send thru the US Postal... Unlike the nitwit in Germany which will take up to 2 mths to get my A4000 KB....... :-D
-
Yes, next time I'll be sure to use less expensive and problematic international shipping methods but ebay won't let me change the shipping method at this point.
I apologize to those the shipping method is a barrier for.
10+ hours and counting on these.
