I think the price range for me is from £0-£600

Well I just sold my Peg1 for 200Euros (including a few bits and pieces), which should be the normal going price for these.

The Peg2 (again with some other bits and pieces) I bought some time ago came at a whoopping 450Euros.

A1 are quite rare, and working ones even more, so expect to pay highly inflated prices for these.

LOL £0 can get your imagination thinking you have a AmigaONE :D
I think ill get a Pegasos II
Also Can you Run OS4 On a Pegasos II using some type of UAE?

UAE is 68k emulation. Since OS4 doesn't run on 68k processors, it also won't run inside UAE.

Oh ok,
I was thinking about the program that allows compatability with some OS4 applications  :-D

sorry but that cheap $200 pegasus don't run aos4.0 or support aos4.0 applications... i guess you just have to cough up the $1000 after all... or you will just stick with the crappy pegasus that is going nowhere and have no supports, you can just throw the $200 in the toilet... but its up to you i guess...

There is OS4Emu but it is more a wrapper than an emulation. Some apps will work but only a few. There is a list about what will work on the OS4Emu page.

Its called Pegasos and it still has support. Not for OS4 but MorphOS of course.

Its more the crappy A1 which has no longer any hardware support because Eyetech left Amiga and MaiLogic closed its door.

I have been offered a Pegasos II for £350 (inc P&P) which has:
The Pegasos II board a backplate for the case, 256MB memory, 1000Mhz G4 processor, Voodoo 3 3000 AGP videocard, Soundblaster Live! PCI soundcard, MorphOS 1.45 on CD, a DVD with lots of software for MorphOS (freeware/shareware) and a manual.

So i think i'll get that!
Why would my dad pay £500 on a 10 year old PowerPC card for a A1200/A4000?

Well a Pegasos II will make a 13 year old very happy  :-D
No 1 laugh coz im young! (just coz your old :P)

I beg to differ!  Go dumpster diving for a old but working box, throw AROS on it, and total cost is zero.

@Gwion:

Heh, man, I'm not the youngest Amigan anymore then... (Was 17.. Now 18...)

The pegasos can run OS4 apps like Epistula etc using OS4Emu as was posted before...

If you need any help getting it working connect your IRC client to irc.freenode.net and /join #morphos ... Those people helped me a lot with my Pegasos I G3 (Which I sold now...)

I think im gonna be getting an Efika instead, only problem is when MOSTeam decides to release MOS 2.0, really hope its soon.

Have fun with your Pegasos though, their good machines, also you can run Linux etc to do stuff that you can't do with Morphos.  :-D

Of a Pegasos II running Mac OS X ,
How is this done?

I think thats PegXMac... You can download it somewhere for free...

I never tried as I don't think the drivers are good, or its quite slow... maybe someone will correct me on that though  :-?

@Gwion

I used "molk".

It doesn't have 3d acceleration but the speed is quite usable for say browsing and office applications.

If a Pegasos I (non-april) sounds interesting, then PM me.  I'm considering selling mine.  It's currently mounted in a miditower with 160gb hdd.  If you wish, I can sell you the mobo with cpu card and 128mb ram only.  Saves you a few bucks in shipping.
