Title: Dataflyer 500 memory issue
Post by: webmany on November 30, 2007, 04:34:31 AM
I have a dataflyer 500 unit with the memory expansion.  I can not get the memory to show up on the A500.  I have tried the memory card in a A3000 and it works fine.  Are there jumper settings I am missing?

System is running WB 2.1
Dataflyer is Rev 1
Memry expansion is version 3

Did you tried "addmem" as a line on your startup-sequence (or even on CLI)???

I don't recall having to do that with the DataFryer.  All I really remember about that card though is it's Zorro II ONLY.  It works in A500's, A2000's, but NOT A3000's.

It worked fine in a 3000.

If it is really a zorro II card  should work in everything EXCEPT A500/A1000

I have not found a Zorro II card yet that won't work with an A500.  But, I have tried two different DataFryer RAM boards in four different A3000's and they don't even show up in the early startup diagnostics and I never figured out why.

Is there a disk with drivers that needs to be installed for this to work?
