Title: Amiga OS 4.0 and BPPC SCSI
Post by: balrogsoft on November 28, 2007, 12:00:09 PM
Hi, i has reserved a copy of AmigaOS 4.0, finally my Yamaha SCSI-IDE adapter will not work because BPPC SCSI is not supported, supposedly there isn't enough information about BPPC SCSI, some other hardware teorically will not work also like the sound card, but i read somewhere that using original Elbox  drivers will work.

I found that BPPC SCSI is supported on APUS (http://linux-apus.sourceforge.net/docs/working.html), then maybe the BPPC SCSI driver for APUS can be used to code a driver for AOS 4.0.

I know that my knowledge is very limited with AOS 4.0, SCSI and Linux, but it could be an interesting project. We can add a project on sourceforge and try to implement BPPC SCSI on AOS 4.0. I know that it could be difficult to make it work.

¿Anyone joins to the project?
We can discuss first here about possible problems to make this project.

My knowledge and coding skills are limited but I'll seek all the information/documents I can :-)

They also have working drivers for the 3000 SCSI. :-o
