Hi,
I guess this might seem a strange request but anyway...
Occasionally I see items on the eBay US site that I'm interested in, but the seller doesn't ship outside the USA.
I'd like to find someone in the USA who I could have items sent to, who would then post them on to me in the UK.
A lot of the time, the seller will actually ship outside the USA if asked nicely. I would only really need someone to forward a package if for whatever reason the seller won't send directly to me. So this would only be very occasional.
I'd pay the cost of posting plus a few dollars for your time. I've had a lot of items sent to me over the years, so know about the different postal services and costs. (Could even give full instructions for the sender if they're not sure.)
I could return the favour if you ever want anything from the UK eBay site. I could consolidate several items into one package for you, to reduce the shipping cost.
If there's anyone in the USA who'd like to help me out, please send me a message.
(For what it's worth I've been on eBay over 9 years, have 870+ feedback.)
Regards,
-- M

Nothing to see here, keep moving.

It's very unlikely that you will get someone from the USA to help you with this. There are scam artists going around asking the same thing, getting put on news investigation shows like NBC Investigates and ABC's 20/20..
You can thank the con-artists that reside in Nigeria and neighboring countries for this problem and the unlikelyhood that you'd get someone willing to do this for you.. The FBI also regularly investigates such types of arrangements as mail fraud..
Sorry guy, I know you are genuine, but a lot of people here won't take the chance on getting stung..
Also you are using a very NEW ID here one that isn't posted to much..

All the good stuff is in Europe anyway. Whatever you are looking for you'll find it in your area eventually.

Yes start off by befriending us on here for a while, rack up say 300+ posts then we shall talk. LOL

If the cat has the Ebay rating he says than it doesnt matter that he has only X number of posts here... and why would buying something and shipping it somewhere be any way against the law? I see tons of Amiga stuff that wont ship anywhere because the seller is too lazy.

I dont like the word buddy, how about bubba?

I'm in the same boat and it doesn't matter that i have 360+ feedback at least your in Europe.. try been in Australia  Although you do have a good idea.
Anyone want to be my Ebay Buddy :-D

I don't know what the big deal is? As long as the funds change hands before the item does and the buyer is using his own eBay account so the "buddy" does not get stuck buying something he doesn't want or need, no one should get hurt.

I agree it's not like i'm going to get someone to bid on the item. I will be bidding and paying for it and the item gets sent to the person and that person tells me how much the postage is to me and i pay him and he/she sends it, so really i am the one at risk since i pay for the item and it gets sent to the person first. i hope this clear up what is involved in the process. :-D

Yeah, and if I really don't need HIS paid for item, I put it in the mail and send it to him instead of changing my name, address and phone numbers and moving to another county.
(Just kidding of course)
