Hello,
I have an amiga 3000 with a warpengine 3040. I use the fast scsi interface off the warp engine. There was a period of a year that my amiga was disassembled... now after putting it back together I am noticing a big time slow down in the drive. The lights, and the sounds crackle sporadically and it takes a long time to boot. When I double click a window it crackles away and slowly displays the folders 1 by 1.
How can I diagnose this issue?
Thank you for your help ahead of time.

That might happen if the /INT2 modification hadn't been done. But then, doesn't that board have a built-in /INT2 jumper line? Double check that it's securely clipped to whatever the heck the manual says it should be. :-)

It does have a jumper line. And it says it is supposed to go to pin 21 of the u350 cia chip.
Now on my board there is no printing of the number u350. There are 2 chips and I know it must be one of them. One does say u300 (printed on the mother board, not on the chip itself) and the other has no labeling on the mother board. Both chips are the same size and size close to the back of the mother board.
The one closest to the back of the machine says:
CSG
8520A-1
3290 24
The other one says:
WD33C93A-PL
00-04 8948
048602190102
PROTO
So I am not sure which one is the correct chip, and also I am not sure how to count to determine which is pin #21.
Anyone know this one?
Thanks,
Dan

ok, I am dummy, it isn't either of those 2 chips... its the one hidden under the floppy drive ribbon. I just found this website online http://amiga.serveftp.net/A3000_INT2_mod.html
and I figured it out.
relocated that jumper wire... and snap crackle... it's running fine again.
hahaha....
Well thank you for the help I really appreciate it!

Try this (http://powerup.amigaworld.de/index.php?lang=en&page=29) or this. (http://amiga.resource.cx/manual/CSPPC.pdf)
